ALIFE-WTF are you doing?

For real? If anyone has been to Alife in NYC, which most from around here haven't, you'd know the exclusivity of the store and how tough it is to find, you have to get buzzed in..etc. I can understand why they opened an L.A. location last year but what they hell is this? Im all for brands becoming bigger and making money, which is what they are around for but this is where I draw the line. I should have quit last year when they started producing those God awful 'Everybody' hi's and low's and giving everyone with a storefront and account, but stores like this make me vomit. I feel like the brand doesn't know who they are anymore and this proves it. White walls, trendy wood floor, clean lines...this store has no soul. Neither will the trendy hipsters who will shop there who have never done graf, skated, rode bmx..anything.

A fucking WELCOME sign? Huge ALIFE sinage outfront? Come on man...

After a year long stay at their previous Fairfax location, ALIFE take down their now-closed iconic concept space and introduces a full blown retail store. The new space will become a part of the trendsetting Cahuenga Boulevard shopping center, Space 15 Twenty, in the heart of Hollywood. Curated by Urban Outfitters, Space 15 Twenty is a landmark in innovative shopping environments and features a highly-edited selection of national retailers who are leaders in their genre.
